Took Bryan Graham and his father Tim fishing today. They are previous clients but were also the recipients of a full day day charter from the @save_the_charterboats raffle which benefits owner operators during the Covid 19 MESS! I tried like hell. They wanted meat and we pounded the bottom for all but a hour and 1/2 of the day. We fished from 45-185ft and covered about 15 miles north to south. We never lost a live bait on the bottom and had many places we didn’t get a bite on a chicken rig with squid or cut bait despite moderate current and looking good electronically. We caught 2
Mutton snapper, 3 genuine reds, a hubcap triggerfish, Seabass, a head of a AJ, and a mahi mahi. At 12:45 we put a spread of live baits our trying to get in on the sailfish nite and catch Tim his first sailfish. We saw a few but never had a bite. Lost a couple of kingfish and caught a barracuda. Ended the day hitting 5 spots on the Donaldson looking for lanes and never caught 1. 🤦♂️😳🤷♂️. We’ve set up a redemption trip and I look forward to that post with Bryan and Tim!
