Fished with regular customer @photographyinspiredbylife and his daughter Lauren. I thought I had a good game plan with all my data from the day before and overnight current and chart analysis. I failed and was bummed out big time. The bottom bite for myself and other excellent barometers was way off. We tried for a couple hours in the morning anchoring and power fishing with limited results some rudderfish and small snapper. The radio sounded alive with mahi and sail action but I think it sounded better then it was at the time we decided to start trolling. We did catch a triple of small mahi that were all keepers and Lauren caught all 3 and they were her first. We also caught a kingfish and then went an hour without a bite. Tried bottom fishing again and caught 4 Amberjacks and some more rudderfish and a shark.
