Fished a 3/4 day with Brooks, Kevin, Eric and Mario for Mario’s 21st birthday today. Conditions were difficult but we pulled it out and I even got involved for a change and caught something. We caught 4
Amberjacks to 35lbs, a couple of mahis, 1 we pitched a bait off birds and the other while kite fishing which was our only surface bite. We broke some fish off in the bottom as well. The highlight of the day for me was having a couple cobia swimming around the boat that refused multiple types of live baits and jigs but one couldn’t refuse my Blackfin Gaff. Free gaffed a 35lb cobia and when that happened the other swam away! South tide and choppy! Almost un-fishable even kite fishing because of the amount of grass!
