Fished a 3/4 day with Larry, Gary, Jim and Mary Beth. The goal was meat so we went straight to the bottom after catching bait. We bounced around and dealt with small triggerfish (aka bait stealers) in a lot of spots. But we did manage a limit of nice sized Vermillion snapper, some lane snapper, some keeper triggerfish and released 8 genuine red snapper. We also capitalized on 3 mahi mahi that swam up on us bottom fishing. We broke a couple of grouper off and caught 3 35lb Amberjacks. We spent the last hour of the day trying to catch a sailfish and Mary Beth caught and released her first ever sailfish with a @thebillfishfoundation tag. We also caught 1 out of a handful of kingfish. Great day, great weather and great times.
