Current continues to present issues for bottom fishing. Tried a different area code this morning and had limited results anchoring twice. We caught a cobia a mangrove and some lane snapper. Lots of pecker bites. Bait stealers were in full attack mode. Trigger nation! Some sails started to bite so we decided to give it a try and made 3 drifts catching 3 sails and seeing another that didn’t bite. We also had a couple of kingfish bites and lost a tuna to a shark 20ft from the boat 🙄. Two of our sails were first time releases and all 3 fish were released with @thebillfishfoundation tags. We tried anchoring I’m 95ft at the end of the day. Looked great electronically but took 3lbs of lead to hold bottom. Gave up after 40 minutes and 1 snapper and called it a day an hour early.
