Excellent Fishing In July, Good Bottom Fishing Continues

Report Date: July 31, 2019

We had some great fishing in July, and I expect it to continue into August. We have a handful of days available mid to late August so give us a call to enjoy calm weather and good fishing.

Bottom fishing and the sailfish action continues to be the highlight of the fishing with days with 3,4,5 sailfish releases. We were fortunate enough to repeat and defend our title in the Manatee Island Ladies Fishing Tournament. We were too billfish release boat with 5 sailfish, top angler and heaviest meat fish weighed in as wel and 1st place Kingfish.

Mangrove, vermillion, and Red snapper continue to make a good showing and we’ve caught our limit of red snapper everyday of the season. We continue to have a sprinkling of nice sized groupers for our lucky anglers that have got them off the bottom and away from the reef. Amberjack and almaco jacks continue to break some backs and provide some of our best fights for our anglers.

Along with the sailfish action we have had a scattering of mahi mahi, kingfish, and blackfin tuna.

Weather is good and fishing is good. Give us a call

Biggest fish of the month were daytime swordfish to 175kbs and a Mako shark around 200lbs.
